TOWN HALL ACCEPTS APPROVAL FOR NEW GARDEN
Upon approval, the Sandown Garden Club began digging in August and 2 weeks later, completed the monarch way station in it’s entirety. Planting a variety of plants specific to the Monarchs, desire will attract the Monarchs to the garden for nourishment, safety, and habitation for nesting.
Sandown Garden Club stepped up to beautify the Town Hall. Monarch butterflies have dramatically reduced in numbers and now classified as an endangered species. To provide a safe nesting place and nourishing cafe for brightly colored monarchs, Sandown Garden Club approached the Town Hall with their project for an 1800 foot Monarch Garden.
